Henge Zhou

华南农业大学中英环境科学研究中心特聘专家，他的主要研究兴趣是应用同位素技术研究地下地壳流体系统的控制过程。他在实验室中通过建立质谱方法测定碳，氢和惰性气体同位素，如He，Ne，Ar，Kr，Xe等。虽然同位素工具的原理早已确立，但它们在能源、环境和水资源管理方面仍有巨大的应用潜力。如二氧化碳的地质封存和增强的石油开采、水力压裂和页岩气勘探，以及地下水年代测定等。

Zheng Zhou is a geochemist interested in applyingisotope techniques to increase our understanding of the processes that controlsubsurface crustal fluid systems. His work is intensively lab-based, using anddeveloping methods of mass spectrometers to measure carbon, hydrogen and noblegas isotopes, such as He, Ne, Ar, Kr, Xe. While the principles of the isotopetools are long established, there is huge potential for the application of themin energy, environmental and water resources management. For example, CO2geological sequestration and enhanced oil recovery, fracking and shale gasexploration, and groundwater age dating.
